  9. RB's Tic-Tac-Toe lets you play the well-known game of tic-tac-toe on 
  10. your Palm(TM) handheld computer or compatible device (Palm OS(R) 2.0 
  11. or better; 3.5 for color).

  13. No other tic-tac-toe game for the Palm Computing(R) platform can 
  14. match the intelligence and fun of RB's Tic-Tac-Toe!  RB's Tic-Tac-Toe 
  15. has sound effects and five modes of play:

  17. 1) Two people play against each other. 
  18. 2) Play against a dumb computer. 
  19. 3) Play against a slightly smarter computer. 
  20. 4) Play against an unbeatable genius computer. 
  21. 5) Play against a student computer that gets smarter as it plays more 
  22.    games. (Registration required to play the computer.)

  24. If you are just learning tic-tac-toe, start with the student computer 
  25. version, then play against the other computer versions to learn the 
  26. winning strategies.

  30. 1. Added player names and scores.  Now you can keep track of how many 
  31.      times you beat the computer! 
  32. 2. Improved the "look and feel" of the game. 
  33. 3. Easier registration codes - now using 
  34.      lower case chars and digits. 
  35. 4. Made some minor code improvements. 
  36. 5. Fixed a small memory leak introduced in v3.

  39. Installation 
  40. ============ 
  41. To install RB's Tic-Tac-Toe on your Palm(TM) handheld computer, first 
  42. remove any previously installed version.  (If you install "on top of" 
  43. an earlier version, you will corrupt the program.)  Next, extract 
  44. rb-ttt4.prc from this zip (or sit) file and install the prc file in 
  45. the same way you install any other Palm(TM) applications (with the 
  46. Palm(TM) Desktop Install Tool).  Sorry, but you will have to enter 
  47. your new registration code before you can play against the computer.

  49. How To Remove A Previous Version of RB's Color Tic-Tac-Toe 
  50. ========================================================== 
  51. 1. In the Launcher, tap the Menu button. 
  52. 2. Tap the Delete... menu item. 
  53. 3. If necessary, scroll until you see RB's TTT. 
  54. 4. Tap RB's TTT. 
  55. 5. Tap the Delete... button. 
  56. 6. Tap the Yes button. 
  57. 7. Tap the Done button.

  80. Recovering Memory 
  81. ================= 
  82. If you would like to recover any memory lost by version 3 (or from 
  83. any of the countless other Palm OS apps that leak memory!):

  85. 1. HotSync to back up your handheld. 
  86. 2. Hard reset your handheld. 
  87. 3. HotSync again to restore your files.
